Jointly launched by Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (“HKSTP”), The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation ("HSBC") and Hong Kong Business Angel Network (“HKBAN”), SPRINTER is a two-year program aiming to energize our innovation and technology ecosystem and thus build Hong Kong as a technology hub in Asia Pacific. The program is not only providing 120 technology companies in Hong Kong a series of structured training and connecting them with potential investors, but also delivering angel conferences and luncheons dedicated to business angels and individuals, with the objective of growing the business angel community in Hong Kong. SPRINTER is divided into two tracks: Entrepreneur Track and Business Angel Track.
This track has two cohorts and will equip at least 120 technology companies with the knowhow through a series of structured training provided by professionals including academia, bankers, venture capitalists, accountants and lawyers from Hong Kong and overseas. Ten selected companies from each cohort will enter the second stage, which focuses on supporting companies for business expansion and fund-raising over a seven-month period.
This track targets to enhance the capabilities and practical knowledge of angel investors and individuals who aspire to become angel investors through knowledge exchange activities including workshops and sharing session so as to energize the business angel ecosystem in Hong Kong.
